FREEDOM FROM OVEREATING
When someone asked me when I finally felt that I was cured from compulsive eating the following experience came to mind. It was about 2 years after I had started my Diet Masters program and I threw away some crumbs and broken cookies that were on the bottom of the cookie jar. Don't forget; I was the person who could easily gain 15 pounds on a two week vacation.
A GREAT LESSON
We went on an ASSERTIVE EFFORT WEEK in my class and vowed to get the wrong foods out of the house that we were not able to resist. I also suggested that they planned ahead when going to restaurants and to order the 'diet wise' choices. They wrote a vow that they would not eat anything after 8:00 PM. They also wrote everything down that they ate for a week.
PERMANENTLY GIVE UP FOOD THAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL
My sister Bobbie gave up everything with sugar about 35 years ago and she never looked back. This is a real estate saleswoman who used to make homemade brownies to take to open houses and never touched a crumb.
I gave up hot fudge sundaes in 1971. The closest I came to having one since, was on my birthday 21 years ago. It came with our lunch. I ordered one with the sauce on the side and dipped my empty spoon into the fudge sauce and then put a bite of ice cream on that spoon.
